Entering 2014 with a bang, the Cosmonostro family bring you a slice of spaced out juke madness from across the Atlantic.
Hailing from Burlington, Vermont, Principal Dean fuses lush analogue synthwork with mind bending percussion to create something that works just as well in the clubs as it does in the headphones.
Title track ‘Jack Stars’ opens with throbbing pads and neck breaking tom rolls, slowly building into a juke workout dripping with emotion and soul, before settling down with some cosmic wisdom to open the mind.
The release also features 2 more previously unreleased tracks in a similarly cosmic vein – ‘Clic’ fuses juke sensibilities with jazz samples and soul-drenched arps, whilst ‘Storm Wild’ brings the tempo down a little, taking us into a sparse house territory complete with blissed out guitar chords & seductive vocal samples.
